The test was done at "M" electric parts factory in Japan, below pictures are corrosion progress test that have been
immersed 2 iron plates and 2 copper plates in the cooling towers for 49days. As you can see, The sample plates which supplied CALFA BAS water did not corrode beside
only circulated or supplying water. |

Test method:
1.
Measuring the weight(mass) of sample plates after ultrasonic washing for 5 minutes in acetone and drying.
2. After measuring the weight(mass), 4 sample plates are attached to a machine (*accorded in JIS K 0100 reference), and immersed in 5 litters of Sample Water which kept temperature at 40
degrees Celsius
, and revolving for 14 days each.
(Revolving speed : 220-240rpm)
(The quantity moisture evaporated from sample waters while operating, Supplies distilled water)
3. Ultrasonic washing for 15 minutes in acetone, remove the part of corrosion in Nitric Acid (4+1) for 20 min.,
Then, Ultrasonic washing for 5 minutes in acetone again.
4. Measuring the weight(mass) after drying, find out how much weight(mass) was lost by corrosion on average.
Test Result : |
"Supply Water with CALFA BAS" did not lose the weight(mass) the most by corrosion.
CALFA BAS can also prevent the corrosion against "ALUMINIUM Materials". On the other hand, The Anti-corrosion Chemical was used for Aluminum, the corrosive rate was promoted conversely. |

1. Measuring the weight(mass) of sample plates after ultrasonic washing for 5 minutes in acetone 2 times and drying.
2. After measuring the weight(mass), 4 sample plates are attached to a machine (*accorded in JIS K 0100 reference), and immersed in 5 litters of Sample Waters which kept temperature at 40
degrees Celsius, and revolving for 14 days each.
(Revolving speed : 220-240rpm)

3. Ultrasonic washing for 15 minutes in acetone, immersed in 20wt% of sodium hydroxide solution (70
degrees Celsius
) for 50 min. and gives Ultrasonic for more 10 min.
4. After washing by water, remove the part of corrosion in 20wt% of citrate hydrogen 2-ammonium (70
degrees Celsius
) for 60 min.
5. After washing by water, ultrasonic washing for 5 minutes in acetone, Measuring the weight(mass) after drying, find out how much weight(mass) was lost by corrosion on average.
Test Result : |
"Supply Water with CALFA BAS" did not lose the weight(mass) the most by corrosion.
CALFA BAS can also prevent the corrosion against "STEEL Materials" more than twice compares with the Anti-corrosion chemicals which a major Japanese chemical company produced. |

Left Picture is "Chromium Steel Plates + Tap water that BAS immersed", and Right Picture is "Chromium Steel Plates + Soft water that exchanged ION (Na type)" Chromium steel is one of the steel which is the easiest to corrode in water even if only 1 hour. |

[CONCLUTION] :
Reverse Osmosis-treated water (RO water) is not harmful to the human health, and for Environmental.
Ofcourse NO SCALE formations. However, what about RO water in metal piping, heat exchangers, cooling towers? RO water easy to corrode these metal equipments.

Test unit *1 : To normal water (1000ml), L.pneumophila liquid (108 / ml) was added, and 0.1%(w/w) of "CALFA BAS" was placed therein.
Control unit *2 : To normal water (1000ml), L.pneumophila liquid was added.
Results : It was confirmed that "CALFA BAS" possesses remarkably antimicrobial effects against legionella pneumophila existing in water.
